Awww man am I happy! Yesterday I convinced the wife to let me spend a couple dollars. I got a hell of a deal on these things!
I had to put them on. I need to order some extended studs and start collecting parts for rear disk and something nicer for the front the drum and little rusty front brakes are throwing it all off now.

Nice cars! Thanks for sharing the pics , Scott.
Your car looks great, man. It turned out really nice. Glad to see that you had a nice family outing. I'm jonesing to attend a cruise-in again.
I love the '59 Chevy 2-dr wagon and the kool Karmann-Ghia.

No problem Jack. There were some other nice cars there, but it seemed the Cutlass is just not the typical show car as are the Chevelles, Camaro's, Belair's, etc. Again, it was called a GN several times, and it was the only G body Cutlass there which wasn't surprising. The wagon was clean, but dude just bought it 4 days ago, the VW is actually one of my wife's patients so that was cool to meet him.
On the way home I snapped this pic. So nice to cruise on the highway again...

Years ago I built this bus stop shelter for the Two Terrors when they were in elementary school. It came in handy with my driveway being over 250 feet long.

Now they're in high school and want no part of it anymore. They're too cool for it. On top of that, both FedEx and UPS have gotten lazy about taking my packages all the way to the door, they been dropping them inside this instead.

It needed to go and today was the day. So with a borrowed trailer hitched to the wagon, we made the 40 mile trek across town to deliver to my sister's house for my much younger niece and nephew to use for their school careers.

I found the limits of the punishment that I've heaped upon this poor thing. On a relatively cool summer day (upper 70s) and lower humidity, it ran 210* for the whole 40 miles across town to deliver it.

I also blew one of the helper air bags that I have stuffed in the rear springs. So tomorrow I'll be troubleshooting that.

All on all it was a successful delivery.

Primed the back half of the frame, particularly the areas I would not be able to fully reach with the body on the frame. As said before, it isn't perfect, but my car is in damn good shape given it's age and location, so even this half assed job will go a long way.

rustoleum clean metal primer is white. I guess it will show me all the spots i'll miss with the satin black. it looks like an old piece of playground equipment lol
