Ah, well you fooled me!! It looks really nice!

I made my own tach also reusing the factory clock face. Yours is better 🙂

I actually made my first one from my clock as well.

8000rpm redline was kind of a dead giveaway... unless it was an Indy car stage-something V6 I doubt any factory Buick engine ever rev'd that high in a G-body.

PS. I was totally fooled too - so that makes it pretty awesome.
I forgot to have the orange and red lines put in. I will on next one I have created.

I was able today to finally complete the bottom of the Driver side floor pan, Reaching further back for rust treatment is going to be a real challenge.

Here a shot the best I could get anyway of the underside of the Core Support. Cleaned up and Truck bed lined.

Driver Side floor pan front to back, Surface rust cleaned and sprayed. Time for the Passenger side. :wax:

Looks great!

After installing a new aftermarket 'exact' fit replacement gas tank on my 84 Camino, I experienced an annoying rattle from it's filler neck vibrating against the body. The problem was quickly solved with a black rubber 2'' x 1 1/2 '' sewer/drain collar available at any plumbing supply or Lowes, I imagine. You just discard the metal screw bands, lube it with dish liquid, and press it over and down the filler neck . It fits securely and is 'factory looking'.

so today i finally put the new UMI springs and shocks on the car.. have had them for months but just never got around to doing them.. got a great deal on the shocks when this covid crap just started. they posted on facebook that they were clearing out old inventory so i jumped on the deal.. then a friend thats a dealer for them gave me a good price on the springs.

they dropped the car 1" up front and 1.75 in the rear.. love how it sits now.. just like i had envisioned it in my head.

ride is firm but in no way harsh.. and bot does it stay flat in the corners now... i must say that i like messing with torsion bars better. what a pain in the *ss the front coils were..lol
