What Did You Do To Your G-Body Today? [2020]

I was happier than kid in a candy store today. 3 pumps of the gas, two turns on the key 1st time for five seconds, 2nd time for about three seconds and she started right up! ( As you all well know it's not been started in weeks) and mind you the squeaking sound of the worn bearings can be heard I am thinking its from cylinder 4 or 6 or both its coming from the passenger side anyway. I bought a new battery just last week, just put in, finished Truck bed lining underneath the rear driver side frame that thankfully the rust treatment stuff held up in this snow.

I also just replaced the Blower motor which from what I can tell works on all settings though if you put it directly in line with the "Low" it won't come on, otherwise I have four other fan settings up to High 👍.

Here is where I am going to need the communities help, Air is now working but it's still blowing from the top of the dash (At least it's something right?). So I am trying to figure out were the leak is. The Chilton's book I have only covers so much of the Air system, like how to replace the Blower motor for example, other wise I can not make heads or tails out what I am seeing here. I am not sure what goes to what or whats missing. Noting here I do see a loose white skinny hose that goes across some where. That's all I know for the problem at hand.

yesterday I was in Toronto grabbing some wings with my son and his wife. Went to leave around 9:30 last nite and I had no tail lights. I had problems with the harness in the past but I bypassed the problem area but now the brown wire was broken at the connector in the trunk area. So I used the wire that was bypassing the previous problem and wired the tail light to the battery that is in the trunk. Then on the way home the instrument panels light went off so I kept going thinking what else can happen....today I went to the local yard to see what shape the harness from the fuse box to the rear harness was like. I was is great shape so I got that out of the car which is a bit of a pain to do with the parking brake having to be removed. I got harness for $20 and installed it in the GP. I have no emergency brake pedal in the GP so it was an easy job and I have tails lights again. The instrument lights was just the fuse......

looks like you missing the heater valve and the cause of a vacuum leak...

Learned that on a 4150 600cfm 4776-2) Holley that the .066 jets are the primaries and the .076 jets are the secondaries.
I had it backwards😵

The car ran better until my hashed together solution for the secondary float (bending it down to get enough up travel to shut the needle and seat) decided it didn’t want to work and flooded the living crap out of my engine. I used what the trick kit called for (.110 Vitron needles and seats), the primary shut off with no tinkering, but the one I stabbed in the secondary bowl won’t shut off unless the float has no more than a 1/4 inch of travel. What am I missing here?

Finally, repeat finally, got the ‘spare ‘ motor in and running. A couple of snags discovered when changing from 24x reluctor to 58x reluctor motor. 1st , crank sensor needs a different plug (pigtail), and the pins on the outside of the cam sensor have to be swapped. And lastly , 12 volt reference has to be swapped to 5 volt for cam and crank sensor.

But it runs. And the aluminum block is A bunch lighter. We’ll find out soon if it can handle the ‘world’s worst hot side’ that make 20+psi on the 5 psi spring (shrug) 👍😂

There should be a skinny purple hose coming from the same place as the white one. One of them goes to the black vacuum ball, which looks to be hooked up OK, and the other goes to the vacuum operated heater shut off, as pontiacgp had said.
Since the AC system is vacuum operated, you will need to plug the loose hose, to get enough vacuum to operate the other valves on the airbox/vents. The missing heater valve is not very expensive, brand new at Dixie Restoration for $26.95. I just received one about two weeks ago with other parts that will go into my Caballero.
I need one of those cooling tubes. Now that I know what to call it, maybe I can find one on line somewhere.

Zipper gifs are so suggestive.
