Lauren and I had a pretty productive day today I helped her change a battery terminal and put a battery in her H/O she put air in the tires again I guess I should have gotten new valve stems when we put the free tires on but I was in a hurry and didn't think of it. Then we got it running. There's 2 videos on FB but damned if I know how to share them. I'll give you a link tho.

I just filled the bowl with saw gas and it basically fired right up
Then we went out to the building. It was raining so no work on my rig but we finished my rear and got my 87 on jack stands. I sprayed all the bolts with WD for next weekend and called it a day. But not before we fired up the 70 hemi cuda' convertible for her.. she liked it even did a video for Instagram or something LOL it dose sound good

You know that interior would look great in my Monte, it's just the right color. 😉
Funny you would say that, wife and I were talking about how I should have just gone black interior as originally planned (especially since all the rest makes the door panels look weak), She said just do it and sell the red stuff.

All this was related to a discussion regarding pros/cons of buying the brown Malibu for sale locally that I had set up to buy but got "sold". Funny that 5 months later, the same guy has it for sale and it's $400 more than the original listing, but $600 less than the "updated" selling price. Can't decide if it's worth dealing with the tool to buy it.

nada
ferd been occcupying my time.

Had a little wrenching on the car over the weekend to get it ready for the Pizza Power Tour, but as luck would have it since there was threat of rain I took the GTO. Before I knew that I had realized that the old mechanic who was "helping make it run better" decided to play with the timing and never locked it back down. So after some playing got that straightened out and seemed to run a lot better, thought it had solved the running hotter than I like but not totally sure on that one since it was nice but not too warm and it still got to like 208 or so. Think for the time being I'm just gonna run thermostat and see how it reacts, don't have heat in the car anyways so figured its worth a shot.
While I had it out Friday night noticed that at times the tail lights dont come on with the lights so I decided to shake some wires back there to see if it was a bad wire. They didn't come on but now the backup camera doens't come on so I'll also have to look into that as well.

I had to change Antifreeze so while I was at it I took my hoses off the heater core and replaced the old deteriorated foam with new and made up a plastic cover to seal up the air box.1704.jpeg
