Connect a length of hose from the tail-pipe of a running car to the tank in need of purging. Let it run for a while & it does the job.Turned the sketch factor up to 11. A section of the welds on my tank sump were seeping, so I had to drain the tank and attempt to have gasoline evaporate in 40 degrees. That was far to safe for my liking:
