I started my front wheel well/tub replacement fabrication. Made initial cuts on a spare Malibu fender for trial & error purposes. I knew almost immediately I complicated the install by trimming higher than necessary (I laid out 3 possible cut lines & chose the middle of the three). This is why I do things as I do. I get a visual & better understanding of the needs....

Please post updates on this and your progress in detail and as often as possible please. I have the same modification slated for my Juggernaut Cutlass project soon and will be watching with great interest.
Thanks!

Will do. I was going to start a thread once I have enough material to present.

Got my rear-view mirror hung back up, if only for a little while.

Got bored and did a little math on my gearing situation. In short, the Bonneville lives up to its name.

4th gear with a 2.41 rear and 205/75 R14 tires yields:

60mph - 1200RPM
75mph - 1500RPM
100mph - 2000RPM
150mph - 3000RPM
200mph - 4000RPM
225mph - 4500RPM

(add 300RPM if torque converter is unlocked)

I may need to think about better gearing at some point...

Works great on paper. It's disappointing when it sneezes at the sight of a hill. 3.42s are a good ratio- peppy without being obnoxious.
