Finished the heater box rebuild. On to the wire harnesses now.


If you havn't installed it yet you might want to consider to beef up the soldering on the tubes and heater core joints. I have found with just installing the hoses it was enough to crack the little bit of solder they use and had to remove ti to resolder the joints. You can see the difference in the amount of solder they used on tubes on the original a/c part compared to the new heater core....

I haven’t installed yet, as the body is out for another couple months getting the steel work finished up. Is there a special solder for these, or is it the same stuff I use on my copper plumbing? I apologize if that’s a stupid question:unsure::unsure:

I haven’t installed yet, as the body is out for another couple months getting the steel work finished up. Is there a special solder for these, or is it the same stuff I use on my copper plumbing? I apologize if that’s a stupid question:unsure::unsure:

I just used common plumbing solder, I cleaned the area with sandpaper and alcohol before I added the solder
