Cleaned and painted MC SS steering box I pulled at the junkyard about 22 years(?) ago. Cleaned up Jeep Grand Cherokee steering shaft. Removed old steering box and pump. The way I see it I assume i have to reorient my steering wheel 90 degrees for GC shaft to line up? View attachment 140574

No the jeep shaft should go right in. Just notch the column for the cross bolt

Car still works. It will pull away from a mostly stock sbc tpi firebird despite weighing about 3700lbs with all the crap i carry around. not too bad for a mostly stock sbb with ~9.5: (stock compression, new pistons), aluminum dp intake, and a .500 lift cam. Once the gale force winds and monsoons stop i'll get around to installing my afr gauge.

Removing rust mechanically then using ospho in the pitted areas. PSA: Were your ppe. I wasnt wearing a shield or glasses when I the ospho splashed in my eye. I cleaned it out real good with the shower wand. I can still see good, but it scared the sh*t out of me. Acid in the eye cant be good.

the weather finally cooperated a little yesterday.it allowed me to blackout the backside of the bumper and filler.i got it all stuck together and hung today.hung the brake pump and the vac tank.installed some of the new sway bar brackets. they really complement under there.was a good day.I've
been putting this off.felt good.

Got the last templates made for the frame and got them marked out on the new metal. Gotta get a build thread started soon.
