I can measure it tomorrow, I’m not 100% sure
The front fitting needs to be long like the one in the picture.

Thanks Duke. I had it backwards. I have a pre-94 that doesn’t require it.

Reconfirmed that the wagon discharged it's AC system. It's holding some pressure, but it definitely isn't exchanging any heat.

This should be fun to solve.

Working my way through my 86 GP. The transmission was slipping so I dropped the pan. Yuk... what was this black stuff in the 700R? Haha
Cleaned re-filtered and dropped in 2 quarts of Lucas transmission fix and 3 quarts of Royal Purple synthetic.
Shifts much better. Not perfect but a large improvement.
In a week I will repeat the process, but from the top with a pump. See if I can effect a home flush.

April 17th update:
Ok, so it was a week and a tank of gas later. (200 miles on 15.2 gallons of gas =like 13 miles per gallon, gasp)
I got my trusty HF hand pump and pulled 5 cups out of the transmission. I really thought I was going to pull more but that was it. Pretty dark stuff.
I have to say, this 700R4 LOVES synthetic fluid in the transmission. The Lucas says it reduces the temp of the transmission by 20 degrees. When I add the synthetic it immediately shifts better.

Real dif next. I am sure it has the fluid that was put in by GM in 86. Wonder if there is any fluid in there. If so it is black and thin I am sure.

Have to make this pig fly.

Okay just got back from the shop. Apparently the Engine is now a No-go. From the looks of it, someone tried to rebuild the engine with the wrong size Bearings wearing out unevenly on both the Block Journals and the Piston Rods . . Now I am back to plan one. Buy a Crate motor with a Warranty, that's going to take a few months of saving. 🙁
