Glued the rear window back in. Went well. Watched the Chris fix windshield video.

There it is at last

The Gbody procar mounts don't allow the seats to go to the lowest setting, so I cut off the highest hole. Unfortunately, I don't have an angle grinder or cutoff wheel, so I took the seats out, went to the shop, and they loaned me the tool. That 1/2" inch, made a big difference (that's what she said lol). I would honestly work at this shop for free, but unfortunately, they're at work when I'm at work.

Get a 4" electric angles grinder. Swap the 'head' for whatever job you're doing ( cut-off wheel, flap-disc, Scotchbrite disc etc....). Pneumatic cut-offs work great in certain situations where space is limited. Many tasks (like the one you did) can be done w/the larger angle grinder.

No pics but I started fixing the cracks on the dash. Hopefully it'll be done by the time I finish the HVAC box.

The engine is out and engine compartment is steam cleaned. I never used a steam cleaner before. I learned very quickly where to and NOT to touch. I replaced that leaking heater core (cuz we really need that in AZ) and that nasty evaporator since it was opened up. Next comes painting the engine compartment and cleaning up the wiring. Might be a week or so before I can get back on it since I need to work on my friend's schedule. But that's a cheap price to pay to have an air conditioned shop with all the tools possible at my disposal to use when it's 110+ outside. More pics as I progress.

show us your technique when you do it, take pics
The cracks I’m fixing Bondo-glass. I’m not worried about retaining the factory texture. Currently I’m undecided whether I am going to Flock the dash or possibly coat it in bedliner. I have seen a few people use bedliner sprays to restore and kinda keep that texture look on broken and crusty interior panels. Just worried that it has too aggressive of a texture. Also I don’t want completely black interior, I plan to do a mix of tan and black.

SEM makes (made?) a textured coating that's pretty close to the original interior plastics grain. The repair below was filled, smoothed, then coated w/the texture. I used tin-foil w/the non-stick coating on it for subtle flattening of any texture after applying. Then a final pass farther out to generate better blending & consistency. SEM interior color coat on top.

If I didn't tell people about the repairs, they would never notice.
