Where did they find that tacky @ss visor? Is that 3/8" bolts holding it on? Hope those don't leak!
Not sure. I was only able to see it briefly before I went home, as I have curfew due to probation.

Plus as I said lmao, this vehicle’s history is something I am…. very curious about lol.

But I figure its fine, the seller is someone I have dealt with before and trust 😌👌

Took it to good guys. Started raining the split second after i pulled out of the nearby carwash, but it's Iowa. We'll go to a show with a tornado waiting in line behind us.

Those of us in AZ should carve out a spot at the November event in Scottsdale. I usually park in the grass and bring a canopy, ice chest stuff for the day. The wife really enjoys going as well. After we leave there, we usually head to the Pavilions to continue the fun.

I topped off the AC on the Bonnewagon today. I noticed it was cycling a lot. I am using that Enviro-Safe r134 replacement. I like it because it is compatible with the original mineral oil and I did not have to flush or change anything. When it dips down below 25 psi the low pressure switch disengages the compressor and the cycling begins. I just add a can and that usually gets my low side pressure around 32psi which is fine. Now I am back to getting 35° below ambient.

Yo, 86LK, about those inner door skins photos for an 85,( and maybe newer too) Monte Carlo SS, these what you're looking for?

These first two are shot from the bottom sill looking upward. This is where I am back to after taking the whole lower sill back down to bare metal and re-re-re-surfacing the metal. What I got this time puts me in a better, happier frame of mind so far.

And here are the shots of the inner door skin that you asked for. It's a multiple shot sequence more or less shot in a circular progression so you get to see the inner shell from multiple perspectives.

And finally, a shot of my door mover and locator. Mentioned this in a previous post but took the opportunity to record it for posterity while taking the inner shell shots. This is actually an accessory that mounts to the floor jack in place of the lifting plate. it is a bolt in unit that can be adjusted for drag to stiffen the rotation and movement up for better stability when doing the fine tuning when hanging a complete door. Since the Monte door, fully loaded, weighs more than 50 pounds, and is about as maneuverable as a 45 gallon drum of jello, having it mounted to a fixture that takes on the heavy lifting becomes the bonus.

For the curious who noticed the slings and ratchet straps attached to the door assembly, they allow me to use a chain fall attached to wooden cross bar run from side to side on my welding booth that did the heavy lifting to manipulate the door when i was doing all the flange and edge work. They are still in place because I will use them to lift the door off the work cradle and drop it into the jack cradle when the time comes to hang the door; very, very, soon. I need Bay One empty most soonest.

That car is..... special?

Lund style sunvisor. 2nd gen z28 fender vents. Bolt on hood scoop is.... definitely something different. Functional?

I can only wonder what other style and manner of mods that owner did....

It has the factory radio and wiring so hopefully not too much.

For the price I am paying for however, given how difficult it is to find a project El Camino at least here in Ontario... before they are sold within minutes sometimes, especially in this economic climate? I got a great deal.

Plus, whos to say I am keeping those upgrades hehe. I have a few ideas of my own lmao
