More house stuff

Cut all the water damaged rot wood out of the basement closet and replaced with treated since its not that much more and if we do get more water I dont want it rotting out again.

Spliced it in (don't laugh) its fine, its not structural. Replaced both footers and a foot or two up from the two corners.

Insulation is up! Needs to get stapled and drywalled.

I pulled the block out of the Jeep. Some GD genius thought it was a great idea to use E12 external TORX bolts at the top of the bell housing where there is NO room. I though with the head off I could get at them and then I found they were TORX. Idiots. I needed the E12 socket, a swivel, an about 5 feet of extension with a breaker bar to bust them loose. They WILL be replaced with a saner fastener. Now I strip it down for a trip to the machinist. See the back of the flywheel? A reluctor for the crankshaft position sensor. You can see the sensor at the top of the bell housing. If you want to get back at someone you hate- give them a Jeep!!!!View attachment 129301View attachment 129302

looks like just about all the factory paint is still there so that jeep is in excellent condition. I'm glad it is so all the work your are doing isn't for nothing.. 🙂

Perfect time for that stroker kit.
It would be easier to just find an AMC 258 and slip that in. I had one in an Ambassador station wagon and it was a good motor. Too much trouble to adapt all the computer/emissions junk.
