What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2020]

Sorry to hear about all that. Mild restomod items really help the old stuff feel competent. I've never driven an early Mustang that didn't behave like a clapped out wheat truck.

It's good to know that that's how they drive and he didn't just get ripped. He doesn't have a lot of experience with older cars and asked for me to drive it because it didn't seem right. I concurred. Dad's power drum 73 IH 1110 pickup drove way better with wore out parts when he bought it then this thing does. Even wore out G bodies drive 10x better than this thing.

Its got like a 20:1 manual steering gear and a trash can lid steering wheel so it literally feels like I'm driving the grain truck at the farm exactly like you mentioned.

But dang it does look good! And shifting the 4 speed is pretty fun.

Bought a Dana 61 used carrier off ebay for $50
Why?

New bearings too. Gonna pop down to HF for a 20 ton press as well. Overkill for carrier bearings but still helpful.

Gotta love that old school steering wheel cover!

The first thing you did when you pinched a finger in the cracked steering wheel was call JC Whitney.

With A/C, Power Brakes, Auto Trans (not 3 on the tree) and probably power steering (not 5 turn lock to lock manual) This truck would qualify as "loaded" for that vintage Ford.

Built up a 383 stroker for a project I bought 2 weeks ago,a 1992 Ford Mustang.Hopefully get the car sometime later this coming week delivered to me.Bottom end is done and painted Chevy Orange.Heads are at the machine shop being redone again.Got the heads back Wendsday, some of the valves were not ground right.Luckily the owner whom I know is taking care of it.

Tried to put my Cub Cadet back together. Shoehorned the spool valves in place with new o-rings and reassembled the bulkhead with new quick connectors. Went to connect the steel lines and found that I was sent two of the same one. There are four total, so I've got three correct ones and one that is wrong. They were special order too, so probably another week or so before I can get the right one. Ughhh...
