What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2020]

Did a small performance mod on the CVPI today. All Ford 4.6s with DBW TBs use this TB gasket.

Notice the big combs that interfere with airflow. The purpose of those combs is to quite the air intake and cause a gentile, (sluggish) offidle tip in for easier driving by noobs. Today I removed the reusable gasket, cut the combs off and reinstalled. The car almost feels like it is a old drive by cable car now, the typical DBW lag is nearly gone.

This thing is rough as hell. I'll get it running, but pops needs to be buying some tires; the fronts rolled off.

Those things are worth big bucks when they are spit shined and polished. The tractor collecting crowd loves those things.

In other tractor news, I picked up these today-

These are the triple hydraulics setup for my 3000 series. Each of those valve bodies costs over $200 new. Not including the lines, the disconnects, the handles, o rings, etc. I paid $75 for the whole setup!

The lines are rusted so I'll have to figure something out there, because new ones from cub cadet are $7x.xx each, but still a score. I'm planning on running a power lift power angle blade with them.

I picked up another Grand Cherokee from a coworker yesterday. This one is a '99 Limited with the 4.7 and the Quadradrive 2 system.

It has decent bones, but previous owners have made several "questionable" choices in the past that will have to be fixed.

Jeeps are a bad habit.

Got the Cub Cadet fired up today. Runs good and only shows 191 hours since 1996.
Then, I made use of a tool caddy that's been kickin' around the garage forever, and made a metal working bag. May have been a poor decision cuz dat b*tch is heavy!

OOOH Yellow with a stick!

Swapped a new Edelbrock evs2 into the '69 GMC 2500. Also changed the oil and filter. Runs about how I expected a 396 to run. Big torque right off idle, good midrange, and flat as Nebraska up top. I can see the fuel gauge move so it's no huge surprise that it has three fuel tanks. I'd bet it's cruising range is sub 400 miles even with the extra capacity. It needs the heater worked on, the heater box inside the truck is in rough shape and the controls don't move like they should. No real rust on the truck as it spent most of its life garaged and was very well cared for. Not sure what I'm going to do with this thing yet. It's too nice to make into what I want (short bed) and has all the good options like ps, ac, pb, at. Tough decisions.
