Hot rod everything. Put some AN fittings on the fuel line to the furnace and water heater.... Too bad the f-ing, junk@$$, Chinese tubing adapters still leak. GRRRRRRR.

When I was rebuilding the Jeep 4.0 engine I was also on the lookout for some off-road/snow tires. A local Jeep guy had a real nice set of TOYO AT's on some AR alloy rims. But the severe offset AR wheels stuck out of the wheelwell so bad they were hitting it on bad bumps. So I then found some stock steelies over on Staten Island for FREE. I cleaned them up and swapped the excellent tires off the AR's on to those. Then I put those AR rims on CL and in a week a guy from Yonkers bought them. That cut the price of the tires in half. The cheapskate in me sleeps well tonight.

My wife had a 2010 Nissan Xterra. It was supposed to be last her 20 years but it was starting to have some issues. It had a blown head gasket, a bunch of deep scratches and it was rusting everywhere. It was going through brakes too fast and was going to need tires very soon. A good friend of mine works for a dealership. I had told her to let me know if they had any really great deals. Well, she had a 3 year lease on a 2019 Frontier Crew cab. The down payment was the 1st monthly pmt. I normally wouldn't look at one of these trucks but it was a great deal and the truck looked really good. So after we got the kids off to school we took the Xterra to the dealership. Didn't even bother cleaning it out or washing it. The wife loved the Frontier mainly because it was so similar to the Xterra. I told the sales person everything I knew to be wrong with the Xterra and they still gave us a very fair trade-in on it. So we did the deal. I realized 2 days later (today) that I don't have a decent pic of the Xterra. But here is the Frontier.

It was an obscenely warm day today - about 3*C and sunny. After getting back from tobogganing with the kids I decided to do something I'd been seemingly putting off forever: an oil change in the TBSS (engine and supercharger). Truth is, after double checking the mileage written on the filter, the truck wasn't due for either as only 6000kms had passed since the last time and both are good for 10,000kms. But, the date on the filter said: fool get to work. The last time it was changed was January 2019 - LOL.

So I parked it in the sun and changed the fluids in a t-shirt in my driveway - it was euphoric.

Going to need to put a catch can on the clean side of the engine - easy enough. That and maybe a plug change since they have been in there since January 2016. Come on, Spring!

Yeah I tried to make it work but you can't change nature. Originally I bought straight runs and wound up with all roosters, so I gave away all but one and bought 4 sexed pullets. Up until the past couple weeks he'd been fine but then he started getting aggressive and causing chaos in the coop. I have hawks so I can't free range them which adds to the stress. I think it'll just be a lot easier and calmer to have all hens for now. I'll be able to switch to regular layer feed and skip the oyster shell.

I will miss his crowing. My neighbors won't.

my son had a rooster who liked to attack so I got dressed up and showed up looking like this, that rooster sure calmed down after that...

I drove myself insane trying to finish that 928 come to find out it was disassembled by a VOC tech school 10 years ago!

It seems like I should have a pice of linkage to connect the lock to the latch and I don't.

Needless to say I'm missing something for the door lock linkage. I couldn't get the owner on the phone and he didn't answer my texts so I got pissed and went home. Because I also had the drunk guy where my car is call me 3 times to ask if I was coming to get it I'm about ready to scrap ALL my cars and move on with my life. I'm going to shut off my phone and try to relax but my left eye is full of 928 just to piss me off a little bit more. So the weekend is over and I wasted another 72 hours of my life doing nothing for myself! Rant over here's the POS off the jack with all the panels on and somewhat aligned.

I hate that car!

Holy crap! WTF disassembled that much stuff?

So, anyhow, I ended up helping my neighbor go rescue his kid off the side of I-70 because his Harley was blowing smoke. Couldn't get it running last night due to an empty fuel tank. They dumped some lawnmower grade catpee in it, and it ran. I'm not real smart sometimes, but wouldn't detonation cause those pits on the piston and break the compression ring?
