What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2021]

Took the Lady Mullet out for a test drive and couldn't detect a whiff of gas underhood. Filled it up and put it back where I found it. I believe that is the first time I'd driven it in a year. Needs more faster.
Both needing more faster, which is more enjoyable as it sits - the wagon, or the mullet marauder?

Don't think kid hauling, think driving experience.

Received two more packages from RockAuto yesterday (Wednesday) for the Pinto. One was the timing belt kit and the throw out bearing, the other was a new carburetor.
Still to come, intake and exhaust gaskets, and pilot bearing and oil pan gasket.

So I bought some more things. Maybe I'll make a thread, I dunno.

The first of my 2014 mustangs had warranty expire this week. This is the same green car that has been forgotten with the firebird for over a year. Dealer threw in free 7/120k Ford esp on basically bumper to bumper. So I haven't touched it. (My restraint is stronger than motorheadmike with the kitty even at the expense of leaving speed on the table 😉 ) but that's expired now. Everything is fair game.

That said. My michelin pilot sport 4s arrived. I found a good deal 10 minutes from the house on a set of 2020 GT takeoff wheel/tire/tpms package, out the door for $450.

First step is swap the 70 mile pirellis for the michelins, then sell the pirellis. Swap the s550 tpms for s197 tpms (frequency differs and data broadcasts different to be incompatible. S197 is basically an idiot light warning when a pressure falls below the threshold. S550 broadcasts the semi-exact pressure down to 1#) and sell the s550 motorcraft tpms. Then run around on the 2020 rims and save the factory wheel tire pkg in the garage.

Also ordered a strut tower bar, and a seldom ordered Ford engine intake cover.

Poor car is a 2014 that I bought at end of production run, but has less than 20k miles on it. It wants to play.

It has a picture of an LS on it, doesn't it?
I'll add a real pic when it gets here, but, its semi tasteful. And although my engine bay is clean enough to eat off of, the black ribs are kind of ugly.

The kit looks roughly like this:

That said the grey is more silver in real life.

Also forgot, I ordered a fomoco trunk liner to cover the carpet, it'll look nicer than the plastic drop cloth I've wrapped everything carpeted in since new. Yes. I was/am semi anal with the 2014 premium and the gt. The 2016s.... not so much. Although I've bought/done a lot with those too now that I think about it.

And an hour and a half of work and a little wrestling and the 700R4 is off the lift and back in the van. Used a six pack of the grade 8s' with mcx washers as place markers until the ARP bolts come in. All this puts me right back at where i was last Sunday when the bolt snapped. Still have to deal with the wiring for the lockup and attaching the TVS to the throttle body and adjusting the tension. May just re-install the pipes as is and deal with them next year. i need this ride on the road so I can get to my other awaiting projects.

Hahaha.... it's for the little engine. Not like it's going on the 496.

Looks something like this installed.

May not look like much, but, aluminum engine, 6 bolt main caps, there's potential to do something with it. Already has over 300hp in stock form, stock tune. Lots of room to work.

Last two RockAuto packages for the Pinto project were on the porch when I got home. May go to Harbor Freight this weekend to buy an engine stand larger than the one that I already have, and maybe a transmission jack while I am at it. Also looking at the possibility of going to the wrecking yard, they are offering 50% off July 2-4.
Out of 8 RockAuto packages, I received 7 magnets, one of which is of a sweet gbody HurstOlds.
