What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2021]

Kind of looks like the woven sheath of wiring passes into the notch 'U' where you push the clip inwards above the top of the rounded metal fixture. Idea being to keep the fan from rocking upwards and falling out of the bracket

It needed me to spin the assembly then it dropped right in and the clip made sense.


And yeah, the junction box spoons a 2x4 dead center so I couldn't fish the wiring straight up through the mount but it's working now.

Looks tiny compared to the old one, but it kind of is. Still produces adequate airflow though. Now to pull the trigger on a downrod to get the other one in the living room.

Got back to the shop today after a long route to find two concrete blocks under the driver side of my daily Mazda. Kinda baffled since the wheels were still on, then lightbulb moment! Sure as shizz, some scumbags cut the cat off 😡😡!!!! It pisses me off, but could be worse. Karma is a biotch!

Dude they're worth some coin, it's crazy. Surprising they didn't get into the catalyst with that hack job. I wonder if you could make an insurance claim?

Yeah I've heard of people making $10K/week due to the platinum in them. I'm gonna talk to insurance Monday and see if it's worth filing a claim. If not I'll get a cheap replacement or a high flow and send it. This car is 14 years old, 192K on the clock. I'm not dumping anything more into it than I need to.

Maybe not, but well worth milking every last cent out of the insurance company for something that shouldn't affect your deductible. If they'll take the claim it's likely you could come out ahead in the end.

Did you file a police report? You should be able to use the theft coverage of your policy. Allstate covered the the theft of my Saginaw off my frame at the old house back in '12.

Yeah I filed a report. We also have camera's on the lot, and I intentionally park in plain sight of one of them. The incident occurred at 1am this morning, on standby to see if camera can make out anything.
The neighbor lot is a tow company with prollu a dozen cars and two of theirs were hit.
