I don't know about all that. It's an A to B vehicle. Right now, it's doing service as my "test mule" for engine/emission decals, etc., or to go pick up GM parts at the dealership. 🙂 It's hard enough to get past the blue oval on the grille just to get in it, let alone lurk around on a forum about Focus cars. Not going to fault those who love them, but I can't ever see me falling in love with this car. The wife makes it harder since it was her mom's car and makes me guilty every time I mention putting a For Sale sign on it. It doesn't have enough miles on it to know how it's going to survive down the road service-wise. And I'm not interested in adding anything to it like wheels/tires or engine mods or any of that. It's bad enough trying to find maintenance parts for it.If you keep the Focus for a little while, and decide to do some deeper investigation into them, there are a couple of Focus forums you might browse through.
AllFord Focus, and FocusFanatics. It seems that some of the Focuses can be bumped up to some amazing horse power levels.
I've found out there's like 4 different variations of coolant hoses for it depending on body style, options, etc. Luckily it has the old Ford numbers still on the hoses, so that helps narrow stuff down. Except sometime or other they had to modify their numbering system so the "old" numbers needed to be updated to the "new" numbering system. Which is what happens when you don't use strictly a number system like GM.
