Oh, I wasn't mad. Just made it clear that when we do dumb things, we fix dumb results.
Well, we know you're not dumb, so is it going AWD/motor on each wheel and a bump to 36v?

I really don't know yet. The motor options are either geared for acceleration or top speed. I am leaning towards top speed and metal gears. Wiring in a third "NOS" battery on a button would be hilarious.

Unfortunately, I have a paper to finish this week so time is limited - especially since I committed so much effort to getting the TBSS running again over the weekend (which moved under its own power yesterday).

Cabriolet progress.... Short block assembled. We'll work on setting the valves tonight & start tear-down of the rear end housing for bearing/race replacement. Once the rear is apart the new Mitchell OD spec Torque-tubes & drive shafts get installed. Also gutted the Model-B water pump for rebuild (new SS shaft/brass inserts/zerks/hardware) & paint. Rear tires arrived.

The flywheel/PP combo was sent off last week as core deposits on freshly modified (lightened/balanced) V8 clutch assembly. Received that e-mail today so could have those parts by Friday. Front tires should arrive tomorrow. No update on wheels.

I guess this falls better here than anywhere else.

Rockauto is holding another wholesaler closeout event right now. So, I stocked back up on assorted piles of parts.

Just checked out and my order consists of 273 items. Who wants to make an over/under on how many boxes will arrive on or around June 3?

It's maybe not as bad as it sounds... it will cover 3 of the trucks, 2 of the regals, one firebird, 4 mustangs, and 1 of the mercedes... so if we average those out its only a bit over 2 dozen items per car.

By that point I'd hit my self imposed limit dollar-wise so I didn't get to the other cars... heck, I'd just gotten to the gbodies when I hit my quota.

Galaxy far far away
One of my outdoor palm trees is about to bloom, pretty good for the NJ climate. Hopefully it will produce seeds.

Replaced the fuel filter in the Chevy, or what was left of it at least haha.

Also going to remove a small section of metal and use some rubber for fuel line, the rust is pretty bad, and if it hasn't had a pinhole happen yet it will soon. 3/8th's I believe.

I do want to replace the sender unit also, so when that happens chances are I'll have new lines flared completely, not gonna be cheap on stuff like this.

**** where do I start today ? Pissing down rain at 0620 hrs when I am already 10 mins late and heading to work.

03 - Safari backup DD now because T2 is in the shop. Battery was dead dead dead when I tried to leave. Not even dome lights. SO I says to myself ahh **** it, gonna be a Monte Day. Yippee and Ill fix this sh*t when I get home !!

Jump in 84 - MCSS I haven't driven in over a month. crank...wwwrr... crank click click click. dead battery

sh*t OK, Ill boost it with the 12 - Camry ... tried to start that but my fooking key fob batteries must be dead as it wont work to unlock or to start the car suddenly. Have to wake up wifey to get her keys from her purse.

Next I try boosting Safari with Camry ( I hate GM side post batteries ) until 0730 hrs. At this point I get click click click. Have dim dome lights and 9 whole volts in the battery after almost an hour of boosting. ( battery must be pooched even though I marked at 09\19 when I last changed it )

Finally, frustrated I take the Camry to work ( that poor car must be into BDSM ) as I beat it when I drive it and it seems to love it :) Wife will have to figure out her own ride I guess.

Get the call from the mech shop. T2 - '99 bucket truck sent in for annual safety and AC repair yesterday. Turns out It's leaking in the condenser so need to pull it apart, also needs shocks so that's gonna be another $1200 - $1500 in repairs.

So I blew thru 2 batteries, and the truck repair so I spent over $1500 before 0900hrs and 2 of the 3 rigs in my driveway are still broken.

What rubs me is the Camry in it's 3.6 glory is now the most reliable rig in my driveway and near as fast as my Monte but is neither cool or makes me any money. Let that sink in and you get my "vibe" for today.

Can I recommend a battery tender or 3?
