pt2 i had to bend the secondary linkage arm thing forward. It would prematurely hit the stop and open the secondaries about 1/4 inch.
Idk how or why it happened suddenly. It takes a lot of force in a specific way to bend that thing.

Hopefully I don't have to play plumber, electrician, mason, carpenter for much longer.

Demoed the last of the old drywall. 45 nails in a 6" wide 7ft long piece...

And finished the electrical for the pump and heater, mixed 2 bags of mortar and filled a garbage bag to sit between the tub base and floor, and notched one of the studs to fit the shower nieche thing.

Now just have to let the mortar dry, frame in the front stub wall, finish plumbing and hang the concrete board, drywall in the ceiling and start tile.

Theres a reason tub remodeling costs so much if you pay for it to be done.

Yup, one of the reasons there has not been much progress on my own bathroom renovations. That and it being the only bathroom makes any destruction problematic.

On another note, niceT-Bird, thinking 1959-60??

Retuned the qjet, truck as worn out as it is and even with a perpetual missfire, now idles at 750 with 19"hg. 😀 too bad it still is dangerously slow.

So was gonna yank the heads off the Camaro, I suspect they're warped. The cooling system smells like exhaust and the car loses some water every session. It stays cool until it loses water. With the heads off, I figured I could jack the motor high enough to yank the oil pan and change the timing cover to OBDII. Then I figured the trans would get in the way, and hey it leaks so I should fix that anyway.

When I rebuilt this 2 years ago, the 5-6 driven gear came out by hand but needed driven back in. I was concerned I would need to puller to get it back apart, but a little heat and my JDM tyte prybar got it out with no drama.

I threw a garbage bag over it for the night. Gotta clean it all up, re-RTV, and reassemble.

I noticed the fluid was filthy which confirms my theory of the carbon clutches breaking in. First time I had the new trans out it wasn't much better than before the rebuild, but after a couple weekends I could really slam the gears. I wonder if I forgot to change the fluid this past Spring? Then there was this jelly up in the shifter, not too sure what to make of it?

As soon as I loaded up $550 in new tires in the bed, the truck develops a very aggressive dying problem. even sitting there idling it will eventually start to chug luterally blow smoke rings and die. only thing that will get it to start is brake cleaner. its got plenty of fuel, has spark.

sidenote

anyone in the market for a rusty 76 f250 with two 390s?

At maybe $100 for the package you could probably turn a buck on the scrap....
You know I am a cheapskate. I am actually putting together a 390 right now for my 77 Highboy. If the interior panels are ok? I could use them.
