They are shift rail guide pins, use a white loctite on them. I heat them with a butane torch and they come out easy.

Instead of Propane, try MAPP Gas. The torch head for the propane should screw on the Mapp bottle without a problem; mine did. MAPP burns hotter; it's what the Plumbers use for running copper water pipe and tube. Have even seen it used with Silver Solder.

I suggested Butane earlier, A butane Micro-Torch offers a smaller sized flame that is easier to concentrate on the bolt head and gives off enough heat to get the bolt a dull red if held long enough.

You can also get mini-kits, Johnson, makes one brand, that match the Mapp to propane bottle sized oxygen for an even hotter flame that can be concentrated in a small footprint.

One of them here took their C6 in and paid $400 to get the Alternator changed.. I politely said nothing as they all nodded in agreement how much these cars cost to work on. Then talked about what New Balance shoes matched their hats.

I was just on the Corvette forum and they had an ad for New Balance shoes! 🤣

My bosses friend showed up tonight he came threw with a cp3 it's used but only 100k on it. He said get it tested. If it's good it's $300 if it's bad use it for a core. XPD is not far from me in wall township on rt34 so I'm going to call them in the morning and ask about testing the injectors and pump. Sam said I can take a long lunch and drop them off there if they do it. I'm taking the night off it's hot and I'm tired. I'll be back at it tomorrow night. That's when the cleaning starts.

Haven't been able to do as much as I like. My back has been jacked this week. Took it easy and worked on cleaning up some more LQ4 stuff. Turned my attention to the coil packs/brackets. As well as probably the nastiest throttle body I have ever seen. Glad none of this crap came off my long block.

I haven't been doing much of anything under surgeons orders to try to avoid surgery on the broken ankle. Lots of sitting around, plenty of time to heckle you guys.

We did get the old firebird moved over here though, so, small victories I guess.
