Rather a Dodge then a ford by productPure seething hatred.
Id rather put my genitals in a running blender before I ever own another dodge product.

I had one of those 7.3L in a '99 F250 I bought new and kept for 4 years. great engine!Silverado HD- 6.0 L, peak HP 362hp@5400rpm, peak torque 380ftlb @ 4400 rpm...
Super Duty 7.3 L, peak HP 430hp@5500 rpm, peak torque 475ftlb @ 4000 rpm...
Hmm, I know which one I'd be able to do more work with off the lot. HOWEVER, my definition of work isn't driving around the flatlands of FL doing the Carolina squat... 😉
FWIW: 8.1L made 340hp @4200rpm, and 455 ftlb @3200 rpm stock, in lighter trucks than the slightly more capable (not saying much) newer trucks are. So.....
I've never hauled anything heavy in my lifeI've had 2klbs in the bed, which for a 3/4 ton chassis I'm good with that. Pulled 26k lbs with it too at one point, it did it and still driving.
You're reaching really hard for straws to pull here with someone who uses equipment for what it's for and beyond. Online photo.. right.
What have you done with what you own? Hope it can haul all that sh*t you're talking without breaking.. 🙂
they've got hills in Florida.......they're called overpassesLive oaks, no, not so much. But, not knowing what town in Florida you're at (assuming beach is generic) other oaks, pine, cypress, cherry, pecan, and hickory are all sawlogs found in the state.
But, considering you don't even have a grown man's usable bed length on that truck, I can't imagine it's hauled much weight in said bed let alone coupled with a trailer behind it.
Throw 3000-4000# in that bed and put a 12,000# trailer behind that 6.0 at the same.time, then let us know how capable it was. You'll need to head out of state so you can try doing work on a HILL the way most of us do as well.
On a more serious note, I hope that was either a generic photo you got online, or, that chain isn't as short as it looked (ie shorter than what you're pulling down) otherwise you're working dangerous in addition to using an underpowered engine.
Should, had a choice of Toyota Tacoma or Dodge Cummins. Did A LOT of research to come down to those. Will never own a ford again 5.4L Toilet motors are pure junk. GM listed lots of recall problems and oil eating due to rings and pistons they used. I would have gone 5.9L Cummins or 12v. But Toyota had power of 5.7L magnum motor and least recalls. The bed leaves a lot to be desired but pulling and fuel mileage. I can’t complain!
Sunshine parkway bridge. Almost as high as Zephyr Hills Fla.they've got hills in Florida.......they're called overpasses
More so alluding to how it would be a less painful experience than my Dodge ownership was.you mean you're not married and have a certain fetish? or you are married and your soon to be ex- wife doesn't hate you?
The diesel ones of them are good, had many of them in Iraq.I had one of those 7.3L in a '99 F250 I bought new and kept for 4 years. great engine!
