Public Service Announcement: Do not mount your Holley ECU up to the top of the dash of your 69' Camaro in case you blow the 40 amp main fuse that is mounted close to the ECU, you have to pull the glove box and dash pad to find and replace.

Follow me for more tech tips as I find out why the alternator decided to stop charging all of a sudden. Along with the Lingenfelter crank sensor converter meeting death and needing a replacement.

😡
Sounds like whatever it was that happened took out several items.

Sounds like a bad time
PO just kind of put stuff where it was convenient, not for serviceability.

The charging problem has been happening for a short while. The other two are new from Saturday, also the PO did not have a fuse on the converter, wired hot all the time.

Started thd demo on the shower. Bad thing is I can't get replacement tiles to match the old ones in the rest of the bathroom as I wasn't planning on retiling all the walls.

Also installed the missing double flap front airdam on the Crown Vic. It made a noticeable difference in handling. Feels more planted on the road.

Just spit-balling, so it's probably not helpful but I wonder if it is bad grounding causing electrical noise/surge?

Whose make of alternator and do they offer a warranty? Does it extend to subsequent owners in the event the unit was already installed in the car when you bought it?

Model building stuff.

My side-hobby/business model building page has a few thousand likes and randomly I get people that send me pictures of odd sales literature from the 70's and 80's with ideas that are too unique to not build. I ended up spending a few years casually looking for old literature and online auctions to find enough pictures to reverse engineer one to model.

First batch of test parts showed up in the mail today. Looking forward to building a few of these.

Would it be possible for you to fabricate parts for yourself using a 3-D printer set up to work with poly-styrene plastic or similar?
