So, someone stretched the front frame rails out ala dragster, added a mid 70's ford cab, and grafted the quarter panels from a late 50's-early 60's Chrysler to the box and painted it all with mud???? Love to have been the safety officer that did the check on that beast, you'd need a tetanus shot just to touch it. LOL

I uncovered what Turbo Zach MrSony and the Iowa Boys have been doing with their Ford trucks.

Apparently they build these and sell them to the Floridians? Or maybe it's the road-trip / retirement mobile.

The higher your rank in the CornBoy Mafia the bigger they allow you to raise your fins, or so I'm told.
Better that than micro machine pregnant roller skate.

At least it can be fixed with baling wire, gallon of oil, and a screwdriver. 😁

Two things accomplished today.

First was mock up for the Impala rear wheels, 26x10" goodness.

Yea, these are not a bolt on with an inch of lip outside the wheel well, needs to be narrowed by 6" to tuck them. With the power we are adding later, it's easier to get a complete drop in axle with posi that's been shortened, have to make calls Monday to arrange.

Next up was to install the new wheels and tires I picked up for the Boxster. The original 17's were 12 years old, hard as a rock, and cracked. Replacement tires were a minimum of $900 before mounting and balancing. A find on Facebook by my brother and a perfectly timed day job in Houston netted a set of 19" wheels and tires with 500 miles for $1250, about half of what they should have been. Not usually a fan of blacked out wheels but they work for the price. Please ignore how nasty it is after living under a cover for 8 months.

reason number #69 i will never "buy" a vehicle i have to make payments on. not knocking those who do, but thats not for me.

There are good reasons to finance a vehicle. If you finance you can take the money that you would've spent on the car upfront and invest it and more than make up for the interest on the loan. That way you don't lose anything on the loan interest and you let the bank eat the depreciation.

I will also never by choice own a new vehicle, with a payment plan.
