I'll buy the old one...Or get a bigger lathe! 🤣

I see you have the AIR hoses disconnected but uncapped. That may be allowing fresh air to leak into the exhaust and throw off O2 sensor readings.Man. Finally lmao.
I have done nearly everything ignition and fuel related work on the Caprice.
Today, saving the easiest for last. As I finally replaced the plug wires that were original GM, maybe even the ones from factory with new ones from NGK.
Also noticed for some reason one of my spark plugs was pretty damn loose, which I’m not sure how being that I replaced them recently 🤬
Honestly, not quite a huge improvement man, as the old wires were still good so they are being held on for spares.
As compared to when I installed the new lines, new pumps, new coil and the ICM swap, this isn’t much more of a difference.
The idle has gotten a tad bit quieter though.
Looks nice though 😎👌View attachment 200515
Tell us on that Carb car where O2's matter.. 😉I see you have the AIR hoses disconnected but uncapped. That may be allowing fresh air to leak into the exhaust and throw off O2 sensor readings.

then tried to sort out an Amp in the car RMA'd it and will wait for the new one, This winter I'll build a fiberglass box if I have time
This is the first time inverting them, All around they have been good.. I was ready to put them to the test with around 1200 to each but having an issue with an amp popping fuses so waiting on a replacement as far as sound, The C63 is very sealed up and my eyes were rattling yesterday lolHow do you like the Hertz's?
Not me.I see you have the AIR hoses disconnected but uncapped. That may be allowing fresh air to leak into the exhaust and throw off O2 sensor readings.
A stainless plug and eliminate it😏🤭 trash the cat, unless you have to keep it. Then if that’s a must go to a free flowing one.Not me.
The previous owner had disconnected the AIR and other emissions stuff years ago. I only disconnected the EGR valve.
I’m not sure where you see the hoses either, as I pulled them off when I bought the car.
I did replace the vacuum lines, and re-route them, and so far the idle is very nice from what I can tell. If there is a leak, I certainly haven’t noticed a big one 😄😎
Speaking of the O2 sensor, considering it’s rusty what is the best replacement?
Ok, I might do that if a new one gets too expensive. I kinda try to keep the CCC as factory.A stainless plug and eliminate it😏🤭 trash the cat, unless you have to keep it. Then if that’s a must go to a free flowing one.
Where I get most of my done unless it’s needed, it’s gone!Ok, I might do that if a new one gets too expensive. I kinda try to keep the CCC as factory.
And yes believe it or not, the original factory CAT is still on that car. The muffler shop was happy to do straight pipe, but looked at me like I was insane when I asked for no converter lol.
