AC Delco PACKARD (Idk what this) stuff
Packard was GM's OEM line of electrical products many moons go. AC Delco and Delphi used it too for a long time. Now the wires are just labeled AC Delco. But your Packard wires were considered the best GM had at the time.

1. Since I bought the vehicle with a coolant leak, I decided to make a video, on applying RTV while I changed the thermostat, because apparently many don't understand, how doing it properly actually is not that hard 🙃😂😂😂
Send a link to our old buddy tynan.... did you remember to use the appropriate number of coatings/layers? Cause that's what he tried to tell us the right way was...
But for some reason, they f^cked up applying the RTV, and doing the vacuum lines.
is there a window cling on the car that says 'locally hated'????

My dad must have been in cahoots with Tynan, this was one of my leaks on the TH400, courtesy of dad.

Lmao, well I wonder what that magic number is now after he dropped his oil pan 🤦‍♀️😂😂😂

I followed the advice given, and took off the valve covers on the Olds to see why I had knocking in my engine.

And wow. I have no idea what to say.

Guess I will be putting on the next set of heads I can get for under $100, because idk what to say hahahaha🙃🤣🤣🤣

See my new topic later on it 😤🤟

Got to try to and see how the new rad would work, it didn't but isn't too far from squeezing in so going to try and persuade it in by slightly moving the lower core support down some to see if that'll work

Went after my annoying exhaust leak today in my dually. I'd installed a Remflex mid pipe gasket in 2021 and it did what the Felpro couldn't but it blew itself a couple leaks later that year dragging the trailer to CA through the Rockies in the hot as b@ll$ heat. I lived with it until now as it wasn't terrible. Tonight I brought the truck home from the hangar and wrestled the exhaust out of it. I expected it to be easier as I'd had the down pipes out back in early 2020 and this truck doesn't do winter. It all came out with no broken fasteners, but it wasn't without an abundance of profanity and brute force.

Had to separate these from the flanges.

Not surprisingly, all but the one with the cat and the fat weld came right out with the angle grinder. The flange for the catted piece came out in 2 pieces. After that though, I think welding it will be just as easy as the rest of them.

That's a 3" v-band setup, so the ID of that v-band flange is 3" and the OD is 3.25". All the pipes are flared out to 3" at the flange so lucky me, makes this so much easier as they become 2.75" near the muffler so I'd expected more @$$pa!n with respect to flange selection. Down the road if I decide to change the cat back I can just use 3" pipe to attach here so another win there. Tomorrow I'll shove it back in the truck, tack it together, remove it, blow off the existing rust, weld it fully, and reinstall for reals.

Replaced the rear struts on my girlfriend's Impala. They made it 250,000 miles and gave up.
