What did you do to your non-G Body project today [2024 edition]

The 2025 Calendars are HERE. Two different editions, two different sizes, and a digital package!! Starting at $12.97US
Gas tank fell out.
Modified the strap instead of fixing the rotten frame.
👍

Welded a carriage bolt to the eyelet and twisted it up into place for easy installation/removal in the future. If I ever drop the tank again I may fix it proper.

May.

Also, new tires. Went with Bridgestone Duelers. My discount is 50% on Bridgestone products and only 35% on Firestone, so BS it is. ~1200 before discount, $649.05 out the door mounted, balanced, valve stems, 50,000 warranty, road Hazzard, and old tire disposal.

They didn't even say anything about my ratchet strap holding the tank in, but did try to sell me an air filter. I declined.

50%? damn, how do I get that deal?
work at a bridgestone tire plant lol
I work at the only AG tire plant in the country. Bridgestone bought firestone in the late 80s, and the only reason firestone even still exists is because of the Agriculture market.

I'd do all kinds of stuff I'm not proud of for a 50% discount on tires.

So the dustless blaster just isn't playing ball with my pressure washer. Maybe it's the altitude? I tried using gravity to my advantage by attaching the hose directly to a funnel and filling that with sand. It took a few gulps but wouldn't consistently draw from it. When it did it was insanely effective, and it does make one helluva mess, but it wouldn't consistently draw so I eventually bailed on it and whipped out the rust mort. Before.

Seriously not bad at all, but if it's this good I know I can do even better.

Here it is in tonight's slathering of naval jelly. I'll spritz it up with some VHT chassis paint tomorrow and get those plow mounts bolted up. And if I'm feeling extra productive finish up the trailer brake controller install and 7 pin receptacle.

Edit: MrSony eat your heart out!

I'd put some anti-sieze on that new threaded piece, it'll probably last longer than that frame with that stuff on it.
