What did you do to your non-G Body project today [2024 edition]

Went down to the yard and pulled a bunch of dash and floor brackets off my ‘68 Cutlass ragtop today, until it decided to pour on me. My neck says I suck but hopefully I can sell them saving them from the crusher.

what yards do you frequent in NH?asking for a friend.
The ones I go to when parts shopping for miscellaneous parts and G body parts is mostly year depending. G body and older cars ,I go to Blanchard’s Auto Salvage in Wilton NH and Camaro Heaven in Tilton, NH. Herbert’s in Goffstown were decent too. Newer stuff Blanchard’s and Bow Auto Salvage in Concord.
I’d like to take a wander around Bernardston Auto Wrecking in Bernardston ,Mass.
if it’s Mopar parts I was shopping I go to my brother Backyard Auto Salvage/Winkel Auto in Milford NH

Fixed the hole in the floor and put the interior back together.

Also plugged a tire on the regal. Not an ideal spot but it's holding.

Blanchard's is cool.i haven't been there in almost 20 years.I'm suprised to hear they have newer stuff, last time i was there the woman running it (i think she's the 3rd gen running it)said they were some push to close from the epa.again that was a long time ago but it only makes sence,so much of it's inventory back then was returning to earth.Bernardston's a good take if you get a chance.I've never been to Bow but i've gotten parts delivered from there,i didn't know they had an actual yard you could set foot on.I remember when camaro heaven was mostly camaros..

Well this started yesterday but didn't know it will be current on going project. Yesterday I had to replace a ground fault outlet & check out the house circuits due to a nearby lightning strike in the morning that scared the hell out of the wife. All was good, se said it sound like it hit in the lower backyard. Today I clean up some of the branches from the tree in the front yard since it always looses branches in a storm. I'm finding some odd chunks that had to come from one of the bigger branches falling. Then I see the "oh sh*t" moment. It's split from where it was the actual lightning strike that runs all the way down to the base in the middle of the about 45' tree. It sits right on the property line & the neighbor who shares the line agreed with no issues to file a claim with his homeowners so we can see if both of our's will cover or we split the bill. Atleast the local tree service we both use has great prices for their services. I love being a homeowner.

It only took one day after replacing the exhaust manifold and the tensioner and coolant elbows on the grandpa Buick for something to go wrong. I drove it around that day, came home and parked it, came back out an hour or so later, and there was a big puddle of transmission fluid on the ground.

I didn't have the time or patience to look at it until today. Turned out the Dorman dipstick tube grommet I used didn't like ATF very much. This was a brand new grommet a week ago-

So I picked up an AC Delco one today which O'Reilly had in stock and installed it. Hopefully it doesn't suffer from the same problem, but it feels like its made from a different type of rubber, so I feel pretty good about it.

TL;DR: don't use Dorman dipstick grommets.

Now you've got me wondering about the grommet that went into my dually. Won't see that truck for another month though.
