My brother and I made a door for the dogs. We put it in one of the living room windows rather than cut a hole in the house or replace the back door. We also made some steps.....

Went over to my buddy Mike’s place for his turn on our alternating garage days. We’ve been thrashing pretty hard lately to get the inside of his ‘57 Chevy’s trunk done to the point where we could paint it.

Well today was that day, and he tapped yours truly to pull the trigger on the ‘ol paint gun.
2 coats of PPG DP50LV epoxy primer went on wet on wet followed by 3 coats of Porsche Guards Red:

Not many of you will know what the inside of a trunk of a ‘57 Chevy looks like stock, but this old girl has received a spare tire elimination kit and a custom mini tub job for some wider meats. The spraying itself went extremely well today, without a single run even in the hard to reach areas like the front of the wheelwells and underneath the package tray.

Mike is over the moon with it as am I, but I’ll be even happier once I get the red overspray outta my hair!

Washed up the GTO, then took it for a bit of scoot a little later in the day. Then finally got the missing piece to be able to replace my old movie holder with the new

my son has one of those and it's been through a few winters and summers and has held up really well with his two African Bull Massifs. The difference is my son never build any pillars for the entrance for his dogs and only has an indoor dog beds with fewer toys.... :)

Wanted something to drag the family out into them thar hills with and can't justify the 15k+ a UTV costs. Settled on this non-running WJ Cherokee Laredo. 205k miles, 4.0 straight 6, auto trans, select Trac 4x4 so it has 2wd, 4wd part and full time, and 4wd low range. Hooked a battery charger to it and it fired right up! It had a smoked fuse for the ECM and a couple broken wires in the driver's door flex joint. I'm betting that the fuse wasn't a fluke thing and will eventually have to actually find the underlying cause. It has a brand new radiator, both upper and lower hoses, and 12 miles on a fresh oil change. I drove it twenty miles around the 'hood then tried out the 4x stuff on the property. Works great for having the sway bars connected and bald street tires on it. I have a set of 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer SSTs that will go on it with a couple inch lift. Need to do something about the huge bumpers and it's utter lack of protection for the radiator. Not bad for $600 bones.

I've been kicking around a similar idea, either a Jeep or something small like a Suzuki Samurai that I'd pull behind the truck and camper as it can't get to very remote locations due to its size.
