The real question I wanted answered when I heard they were bringing this back is Debbie Dunning gonna still be the tool girl?

This is what we have, Ingersoll-Rand SS5L5. With the synthetic oil, it's rated for 100% duty cycle. It will definitely keep up but is about as big as single stage gets and can chug water if you don't mitigate it....I need a better compressor. This thing won't keep up with the blast cabinet- very frustrating

My neighbor mentioned oil weight. I think I have straight 50 Kendall GT1 in there. Maybe I should switch up to 5w-30 syn? This is what we have, Ingersoll-Rand SS5L5. I don't know if that would uprate your compressor's duty cycle or not. Our's is only rated for 100% duty cycle if we run this in it....My neighbor mentioned oil weight. I think I have straight 50 Kendall GT1 in there. Maybe I should switch up to 5w-30 syn?

Had a stack of stickers and a blank canvas, so I tatted up my compressor that doesn't run yet because I need to upgrade the electrical coming into the house. Too many things draining money right now though, ugh, adulting sucks sometimes! At least my compressor will be more powerful lol...View attachment 161634
Don’t take it personally Jared. I see a zillion different compressors in my day to day travels, and aren’t really impressed with Ingersoll Rand. They’re attractive to the hobbiest due to their price point, but they aren’t the greatest. That being said, their recip compressors are better than their screw compressors, total leak fest after a only a couple hundred hours. We joke around the shop that they come new with soaker pads for the inevitable as part of the warranty kit.
