The trans shifter bracket (shift lever) is wrong. The one you have is for a 350th / 200m. You need one for a 200 4r. PM me... I have what you need. GrandAmMan can vouch for me and G-body_Vet bought from me before.

have you looked this link?... they have the bracket that looks identical to the one he is using listed for a 200r4 so their's must be wrong too....

bracket looks just like mine too.....must be something wrong with his cable or the shifter..beats me...lol

bill if you have the 4 speed cable then it is his cable that is wrong. If you count the peaks in the rubber cover you have 13, his only has 8

Just noticed the counts, bill where did you buy that cable? Lol
according to the AZ website, the 85 cable is the same as the 87...and thats what i bought....but i would double check it at the store...their website can be a bit fuzzy at times. the first cable doesnt look like mine and they claim its for a 2004r..the second one does look like mine and they claim its for a 200c/m.....if you bought one from az/advance...take it back and tell them you want the "other one" ....lol.

the longer cable is 29.69" overall and 23.9" mounted length. The shorter cable is 26.15" overall and 15.75" mounted. I think AZ's website has them labeled backwards...

:wtf: Lol, I just noticed that, they do have it backwards,
I'm going to order that one and return the one u have,
Is my bracket mounted in the correct area?

pontiacgp.... I'm not blind. The shift cable bracket is correct, but the shift lever is not. I learned to see the whole picture and to think out side of the box. I may not post, but I am not a noob. As you can see, if he uses the correct shift lever everything will line up.

I don't think it's the shift lever, if u look at the center mounting hole on the 200r4 lever, the hole is at a 11 o'clock angle and the one I have not angled, when u mount the levers do remember they go on at an angle (2- oclock) when in the Park position. So it will be at the same distance.
I'm thinking the problem is the cable.
