bill said:Yeah...I bought mine at AZ...CA1102 is the part number. Yours looks like the CA1130, which they list online for the 4speed. What is the part number of your cable?
the shifter works fine, although i bought a 4sp bracket from another member and it is different than what the original was. The shifter will shift the trans fine from park to reverse to neutral, but i think its out of adjustment slightly because it has to be pulled back a bit to get it into drive, which should be easy with this bracket. either the cable out of adjustment at the trans, or the bracket (which is made for a GN) is not correct for this setup...but it does work. Heres a pic of the bracket...and the large hole at the top is where the shifter goes from reverse to drive without pushing in the button.digimurda said:bill said:Yeah...I bought mine at AZ...CA1102 is the part number. i bought mine at advanced auto -Part No 04251
you have a 4speed, do you have any trouble shifting through all the gears?
digimurda said:Yes please check that out for me please..... And when will you be going to the shop?pontiacgp said:in the chilton's book it does say "typical floorshift cable control" so it may not be correct but I seem to remember it is the way my bracket went on. There is a couple of 200 r4 transmission's at the shop so this week I'll see if they still have the bracket and see which way it's installed
What I'm wundering is if the bracket IS flipped like in the picture from chilton's the cable will be even further away from the lever....
