Windshield Wipers WON'T shut off!

When you say to remove the wiring from the wiper motor, do you mean just unplugging all the plugs? Because i've done this before, what you said about checking those 3- wire connectors and 2- wire connectors i will surely do, im just a bit confused about which plug is which :O

OK, I see what you did. So does the washer pump work when you push the dash switch?

Yes, the 2 wire is already off, no problem, that leaves the 3 wire. Pull that off and tell me what color wires are on it. What is that blue wire?

Yes it most certainly does, and i was very happy about that, it still works. but that's no longer a celebration considering my new situation(s)

Blue wire? Good question... I'm not sure, do you want me to make an in depth video, maybe a private youtube video? I can try to figure that out, but i'm just as confused as you are, plus a lot more considering im the "Not-quite-so-new-guy". If you want a video i can make it tomorrow..

- In my dash switch i have that weird green wire, + a plug with grey, pink, purple and black. and a lightbulb
- I can't pull the plug now, its 1 AM and ice cold outisde xD car is full of ice, even under the door mats and all over the windshield. I'll be working on my car tomorrow i can check everything we've discussed then..

No video. At the dash switch, the green is for the delay. The purple, black, grey, and pink are the standard wires for all wipers. Black is ground, pink is washer, purple is low, and grey acts with purple for fast. Follow that blue wire. If it is going to a ground it may be the issue.

I'll do that, do you mean ground as in just wired to the chassis or frame? or ground as in wired to the black wire? - Also i mentioned that i initially wired my switch to the green cable after pulling the green plug out of the motor assembly and figuring that the wipers parked. Why did this work for a while, it worked great until a few minutes into our test drive, the wipers stayed park, then suddenly started going again. After that pulling the green plug didnt change anything. wipers still delay, maybe the relays are "relaxed" as you called it?
thanks

Yes, ground means wired to the chassis, frame, or any metal surface. All ground wires are usually black. That is why I said there must be a short to ground, since that is how this wiper operates. That is why if your on/off switch was wired to the black ground wire, it should prevent the wipers from operating unless there is another ground interfering.

Yep which it did not do, it sounds as that is indeed the problem!. Is that one of the easier things to fix in your "how to repair wiper problems" 🙂 repair manual. Because when I wired the switch to black it just went fast 😛 ...
I'll check up on it, great help! I'll report back tomorrow
