Working thru corona virus

I'm not sure what the virus has doe to the market, or time passing for that matter, BUT, about 15 years back we used to buy for just a couple dollars each some activated charcoal suits that were military surplus. They got used for hunting, but originally were for chemical warfare.

Go into work wearing those, add a scubs tank and rebreather, people will keep away from you on your shift.

I have a cheaper way of keeping people away from me....

Thanks for mentioning me in your post. I appreciate that. The confirmed number of cases is now up to 26, at my building. They are fogging the building each day, but It’s a discomforting feeling when you see 15 people dressed in Hazmat suits exit the building at shift-change...☹
That doesn't reflect the Amazon commercial I saw the other night that makes it look like they have all these provisions in place to protect you guys.

It's a drop in the bucket, but I have been choosing the later delivery dates for items from Amazon. I have not figured out how to spend the media credits they offer, but that's not the point.

I had to go get some home repair bits at Home Despot, so my wife asked for Chik-Fil-A while I was nearby. First take-out in a month for us. They have a novel solution of a credit card swipe machine on a selfie stick. My family made a big deal about it as a 'treat'. Somehow it didn't taste all that special to me. Maybe it's just that my kids hate my cooking/menu.😒

It was also the first Coke I've had in a month, too. Also tasted weird. Maybe I've had CV and didn't notice?

Just wondering how many of you folks still have to work thru this epidemic?. I retired at the 1st of the year but got bored after a month and went to work at NAPA. We are considered essential so we have been open through all this. Tell ya what. Business couldnt be better. We are staying really busy. I have had no effects from the virus so far.

I still am working 40 hour weeks, but doing it remotely from home. I'm on salary so there is no proof necessary of actual work, and on my breaks and lunch, I slip into the garage for some El Camino attention. I live in WA which started off the whole mess, and our ruler thinks he can control our mobility and ability to make adult decisions and choices. My teenager is done with school for the school year, watching videos in the online mode, 3 hours a day. My wife is essential, so working more hours for a raise in pay. We are taking every precaution, and being safe and secure at home, shopping online etc. I've been off routine since March 13. NAPA here is struggling for business as are the local mechanic shops.

Couple of years back, I gave up sodas for about 8 weeks. Couldn't drink any of the colas or diet colas after that. About the only things that taste "good" to me are Barq's root beer and grape flavors.

I think the time off "reset" my palate.

Still don't like colas, and I drank them for about 30 years prior. Weird.

Are you going long haul, regional, or local? I'm wondering, if you spent two weeks with a trainer, you might be going long haul? Long haul is nice for singles, I did that for two years, and saw 8 SW states. I drive local now, sleep in my own bed each night.

I'm doing OTR all 48 states right now. I've been from Tennessee to California and back in the last few weeks. I'm wanting to go local after I get some experience. I'm enjoying seeing the new sites right now though.
