It's on my list once my pickup is back on the road. Hopefully in the next 5 years.

How was it? Road in decent shape?

From Kingman East it's all two lane on Old High way 66 but its well maintained and I-40 is pretty much all four and six lane straight black top. Its a good drive. Takes all day from Phoenix We made a big loop of it.

my dad loves to drive so we have taken alots of trips mostly to N.C and long island beaches, we also have gone bear mountain a couple of times. anyway this one was alittle more then a year ago 8 of us got in to my dad's dodge and went to...

cant pick a "best"..........but do have a worst
was driving to my newest duty station, 'bout 2 months ago. Me, pregnant wife, 3 kids aged 2 to 6, and the german sheppard.
It was a 9 hour trip non-stop, which I've made it in 9.5 hrs, by myself. This particular run was 14hrs, because the wife and kids had to stop and pee or get snacks every 5 minutes.
Well, about halfway there, 2 of the kids start throwing up on each other. Cleaned em up, they did it again. Real bad stomach virus. Then the dog threw up on the last kid, who was unscathed by vomit till then.
So we finally made it to Ft Polk, with me, the wife, and the front seats the only crap in the car not covered in puke. Even the bags in the hatch area got puked on by the dog.

Then you'll really appreciate that way back in the day it was referred to as Ft. PUKE! :puke:

Not a best or worst, but... I was taking the family from NYC to Pittsburgh in a '75 AMC Matadore wagon that had a crummy radio and a tape player. My Daughter brought only ONE tape- Michael Jackson's THRILLER- and refused to stop playing it. All 500 miles. I love her, but, to this day I know the words to every song on that album!
