Bummer... My garage is narrow and I run into my mirrors all the time trying to sneak between the car and shelves...
If you're like me, you'll smack it again from the other direction eventually and it'll cancel itself out lol
I have to admit, I like the newer-style mirrors that have a pivot for when your wife tags the mailbox in your new car. Also works when I tag the mirror with my butt.

I called my boss this morning and got next week off. I need the wifes surprise Monte SS in the garage and the Salon is taking the spot. I'm going to do an 8 day thrash on the Salon. I should have the engine reassembled, painted, installed, and running/moving. Also the front clip installed. I need to body work, prime, and paint the bumpers. The deck lid needs painted, windshield and trim installed, carpet, front seats need the new covers put on. The rear end pops when I roll it but only when the wheels are turned. I'm pretty sure it's the new crush sleeve I installed. I don't think I have it crushed. I've just cleaned the garage and moved the engine block to the stand. It's supposed to rain a couple days but got stuff I can do indoors like front seats.

Just had a few hours but made it count. I got the head bolt holes and accessory holes thread cleaned. I got the block on the engine stand and ready for assembly. My bearings should be here Monday. I removed the remaining insulation from the roof. Most of it was already gone. Used my respirator and safety glasses cause I think that crap has asbestos in it. I then used my nylon cup brush on a buffer and cleaned the underside of the roof. I taped it off and sprayed it flat black. Then I found out that using Dynamat must be an art form that I don't possess  It's good enough and should do its job.

If you want, bring over that engine, I will stack it at my shop, give you some additional room and keep it out of body work dust.

These reality cable TV show deadlines...
You are totally gonna have to paint my grudge car satin black and silver!

Love the build. I always liked these, car lot I used to work at in high school in the 80's/90's used to have a blue on blue 442 for a while, the owner liked weird cars. Should have bought it along with the Conquest Tsi we had.

And they make you buy the roller separately. Your new headliner will cover up the multitude of sins. The Dynamat might even save the roof from anything under baseball-size hail...

So happy to see you back on the 442 again! Keep up the good work!

Ditto on the roller. Igot lucky when i ordered some boom mat, i was able to get the roller for free and it helped a bunch! I haven't done the roof yet, just the trunk...
