Dude I bow my hat to you for as much work as your putting into this thing.

I know it's a diesel, in good shape, well optioned. You will 100% turn a profit when you go to sell it. But, my inner dodge hater still tells me 'but it's a dodge'!

But still, swapping dashes, doing carpets, pulling the trans, etc., you ain't a quitter! I'm impressed.

You did see his F150 thread, right?

Thanks, much appreciated. I've never really been into Chrysler products myself because they seem to lag behind in quality, but it's always been my opinion that they put out the best looking vehicles of the big three. And if this top notch 1994 promotional video doesn't sell you on it, nothing will, lol.

Turning a profit was never the intention but as it sits I don't think I stand to lose anything and these trucks seem to keep going up in price.

This truck is definitely a much better starting point than my Ford was. I did not want to get involved with that level of rust repair again.

The clips that hold the dash to firewall were all brittle and broken and weren't gonna hold anything so I looked up the part number and found that they used them all the way up to 2009. So I called up the Dodge dealer and they said they had two in stock. I needed four, but decided to take what I could get. When I got there, the parts guy said he found four of them even though their inventory said two. So he sold me two and gave me the other two. These are the first pieces I've bought from a dealer for this truck.

Later I had my dad give me a hand putting the dash in. Once again I was nervous getting it into place but I got it. I only used 3 of the 5 top screws because you can see from behind the dash that two of them don't hold the frame, they only go through the brittle plastic. I snugged the top screws just until the washer barely made contact.

This where I left off for the day, most of the wires are hooked up and the dash is bolted into place. It started pouring down rain so I decided to call it a day. The column is hooked up and bolted into place. I need to get some detail brushes and all purpose cleaner to scrub it down really well before I put the switches, radio, cluster and bezel back on.

Shame the isn't a single company that makes trucks like that at all now, especially a half ton.

I hope the carpet stays dry for you.

We had heavy storms night before last and there was no sign of water intrusion. Got the dash finished up yesterday and got my pillar gauges back into place and hooked up.

I also used a little Bissell upholstery extractor on the front seat and the door panels. Pulled a gallon or two of mucky brown water out of them. I'm prbably going to replace the driver's seat at some point but they look a whole lot better for now.

And despite my efforts to seal the windshield... I think I'm gonna need to replace it anyways.

Not sure what happened. Didn't notice it until I was putting the floor mats back in earlier today. I swore a whole lot when I first saw it. It's on the inside of the glass. Not a huge deal as it is but it will probably get bigger. My insurance will cover it and my deductible is a lot less than a windshield but I'm not gonna mess with it until it gets worse.
