Self tapping large-ish sheet metal screw next to it. At least large enough to where the head is as large as the OD of the eyelet of the strap. If the hole bugs you, grab a flap wheel, remove the paint, zap it with a welder, and re cover with paint.

No, the hole wouldn’t bother me. I was just wondering if people had found a better place for the ground. I mean I would never ground an amp with a self tapping screw so I was thinking there would be a better spot.
That's the way they did it. As long as it was attached to something, it was deemed satisfactory. Standards have come a long way since 1982, but
there's no real other way of routing it, or attaching it. And yeah, no reason to ground aftermarket equipment with self tapping screws. Or Drywall screws. Man that stuff annoys me, and it happens a lot more than one would think.
You can remove that strap and upgrade the ground to the firewall, upgrading all the grounds isn't a bad idea.
I made a new one out of 4 gauge wire I had left over from my amp. I’ve just always bolted down my grounds so this screw seems like a weak link. I always like asking you guys what you have done because why reinvent the wheel?
I didn't bother with a ground on the firewall. I have my battery in the trunk, grounded to the body in the trunk and through the trunk floor grounded to the frame. In the front its ground from the frame to the engine and another to the body. I used 4 gauge for all the grounds. I have an 8 gauge wire from the B terminal on the battery to the ford style solenoid that sits on the passenger side
I guess I should have worded my question differently because that’s what I was wondering the whole time lol my strap was bolted to the intake manifold. Is that correct?
Not really. Mine was bolted to the top driver's side (bop) transmission bellhousing bolt.
Yeah it’s bolted to the diaphragm that’s connected to the throttle. I don’t know the correct terminology to call that thing.
