it's been 2 years ago when I first bought the battery and after I got it started in the car the car mostly sit so I guess return polocy time had expired anyway

you had to charge it when you first got it so it should have been sent back then for a refund.

I don't buy stuff like that online, I pay the extra for the convenience of dealing directly with the store in case of a problem. The red tops are a hit and miss and if they don't work out of the box they are junk.

The Optima in my Monte is a staggered cell yellow top that I bought from Summit probably 16 or more years ago and I have a Schumacher battery maintainer hardwired in the trunk that is plugged in when I am not driving it. I have the same maintainer for all 3 of my cars with Optima's.
My daily driver is the only one that doesn't get plugged in, well because I drive it "daily"
