Or the non window main 403.

One of my 200r4's came out of a 88? 305 SBC caprice.
i know they were in the caprice. i thought they only came in the wagons with the olds 307. sedans usually had the 305/th700r4 combo. hmm

I pulled one out of a 91 Caprice sedan with a 305 Chevy. It had the dual pattern case. My neighbor bought the complete running car just for the transmission. He gave me everything else for extracting it for him.

I thought 1990 was the last year for the 2004r. By 1991 all the Caprices were Chevrolet V8's with the 700r4. Are you sure it wasn't a 90?

1990 were boxes, and 91s were Shamus, weren't they?

We called them Shamu because the local PD was using them, and they looked, well, like a whale after all those years of boxes

When I think of the the jellybean Caprices, I always picture them in NYPD blue. Too many cop shows growing up, I guess.

My first sighting of them was the local PD, in black and white. So, for me, that's the image burned into my brain.

After doing some light reading this morning with a few of my manuals I looked over the TH200 4R section in the '81 advance info manual & it shows a dual patteren case used in the tear down/rebuild.

'90 was the last year for the 200-4R., and you're right, '91 +, 700-R4 replaced the 200.
My 200-4R core is from an '89 Caprice. It's a CTF code.
