Damn, you beat me too it. LOL. Need to get mine to that state.

To be fare I am going about it a bit wrong.
I'm totally ignoring the potential binding issues with the boxed rear controls arms an poly bushings.
I moved the lower shock mounts without kicking up any of the rear end to see where it fell just guessed.
I put a bit of time and money into the rear end while planning to replace it down the road.
I am prepping the chassis for airbags one day but will be in stalling the stock shocks and jimmy knuckles only to replace them down the road withdrop spindles and drop springs in the rear to one day replace the rear springs with bags...
sh*t, I even shot blasted the front rotors to avoid having to buy new one for a few seasons! Lol
So as you see here yes I am making progress but every thing I do will have to eventually be re-done!

Id love to have this wrapped up and at least driving by April..

Good luck getting it done. I should hope to have mine drivable, with 50% interior done, by August. :?

Keep at it bud, you are doing a heck of a lot better quality job of it than I am! Just remember that when I start posting re-works!

Started working on the frame some today.
Started by elongating the two body mount holes. I figured with the frame boxed it would be impossible to get the meal washers thru a hole 1/2" too small

I'll break out the dremmal and clean it up some
Next order of bus ness was to cut around the spring openings careful to avoid cutting the cross member welds.. I did this so that when I decide to run air bags I can fit a larger diameter on in place

I then attacked the drivers frame rail. To keep it simmetrical I lopped off the trans mount section

Then boxed it in with some 16ga plate. I bent the frame sections that suck out in the front and rear inward to join the plate and ran out of welding wire just as I was set to weld in the last filler plate..

I wouldn't sell yourself short there brother 😀 .

Looking forward to seeing some more posts. I am in a holding pattern til the holidays are completely over. :|

Just saw the frame welding, looking good. You gonna reweld all the factory welds? I am on mine, they look like poop.

Yeah I'm thinking about it... reckin I should seeing how there is only a few seems

Got a lot done today... right up until my welder ran out of gas (always something isn't it)
Got the right side rail boxed in and the bars installed. Last minute I decided to ad a boxing plate to the rear LCA mounts, seemed like it would help stiffen things up. Tubing is 16ga 1"x2", boxing plates are a tad over 1/8"...

Well looks like that's it for me till next payday. Give me some time to think up a cool plate to attach the inner rails to the boxed frame rails...
