BUILD THREAD 86 monte carlo ls basket case

Had a busy last week and block sanded the car and sealed and sprayed it. Turned out decent other than needing wet sanding to get some orange peal and dirt nibs out. I'm planning on painting some color and clearing this fall for a custom paint theme but this white will give a good base

While paints curing to put together I am starting my custom grill from a gen 1 S10 billet grill from ebay. I need to drill and rerivit the outer braces and mounting plates on . I'm going to add a center plate for my emblem to bolt to

Got the grill finished, riveting the end braces and mounting plates. Used a cut off mounting plate in the center to put an emblem on. I think it needs blacked in around it and behind it but that will come after the rest of the paint job is finished . I like the recessed look much better than the Cadillac style grill these cars come with. The emblem is off and SS header panel

that's clean,i agree if you flat black that center support and everything behind the grille it look even cleaner.

Thank you. The LS front end has a lot of potential that is overlooked for sure
