BUILD THREAD 87 Cutlass EFI build: 9/13/23..NEW STUFF!

You can use the pink from the HEI for almost anything. It sounds like you are missing most of your ignition circuits, so yes, you're on the right track. Where are you pulling power for the harness from for ignition on?
I've looked at the pinouts like 5 times, it just clicked. PIN 19 on the blue connector is ign1. As of now it's not attached to anything. The standalone harness only had 4 wires to attach. The only ign wire is pink w/black stripe which I hooked to the existing pink/blk. Gonna jump the wire and see what happens.

Had another thought, maybe the pink/blk from the harness can go to the heavy pink wire. It needs to see 12V in run and start which is that wire. Standby.

Stick all the ignition leads together. Do you have power to the relay feeds for the fans and stuff?
1 Ground where you should have it.
2 Constant 12v where it's spoda be
3 Ignition power where it spoda be

It doesn't take that long to run over it real quick. Pro tip: turn the key on, and check everything at once.

Looking now. Yes, the fans are powered up via a circuit breaker to the battery which the starter is too. I know there is likely a wire or two still hiding. I'll figure it out. Thanks for the help, I'll report back.

UPDATE!!!! I found a lonely unhooked wire hiding under the carpet that was cut by me when I pulled the other harness. I tapped into it, and voila! I now have cranking, fuel pump prime, fans, and gauge action.
Only main issue as of now is gauge lights must be hooked to 12V constant and not switched. I plugged the headlight switch in to attempt turning them off to no avail. Forward steps!!!
