I was gonna start tying the new gauge wiring into the car, but I didn't feel like crawling around upside down and stuff. So instead I jacked the car up and got started on the brake swap.
Can't do anymore for the night due to making too much noise, but I'll get some hardware tomorrow and get back at it.

I've been chipping away the last couple days. I need to finish gauge wiring, but also need to address the brakes. The stock front brakes are new and nice, but having all the stuff for the Blazer swap makes it a no brainer to upgrade before I get an alignment.
Only problem was I painted the stuff a couple years back and it sat in a super humid shed until we moved! I got the stuff out last night to realize it all needed a scuff and repaint, go figure! I decided I wanted to change it up, so I got ole RKTPWRD's advice on whether the color combo in my head would look alright. So, the calipers went aluminum while the brackets stay black. I think they look cool now. Hope to find time to do the swap in the next couple evenings. Pics.....View attachment 138073View attachment 138074View attachment 138075
Great color combo. I will be painting mine the same way, and since I'm going with aluminum rear drums, I'll paint them silver also.

Yep, G body braided hoses. Here is how they're attached. I just happened to be prepping to bleed them, but my damn bleeder hose is too small 😡.View attachment 138493

I had those with brake lines with my Blazer upgrade

Took them off, They do not lock into the caliper and will come loose.

Also turn your wheel lock to lock, you may want to change your brake line retainer on the chassis to the S10 version it might hit the wheels
