Thanks Jim! However, you should be fond of it since it's dang close to your wagon!Love the color Scott!
Thanks Kevin! Excited is probably an understatement to be honest. For it to sit outside covered up for 10 months kinda killed my spirits. However, it did give me time to restore my lights, get some stuff painted I'd forgotten about, and start working on the new engine! This resto has taken WAY longer than anticipated, but the payoff will be well worth the wait, or at least I'm hoping.Looking good Scott! Must be super excited!
Thank you sir, now get get cracking! We wanna see this car come together. HahahaThanks Jim! However, you should be fond of it since it's dang close to your wagon!
Btw, those mirrors look killer on there!!!
Lol, I'm trying buddy! I only get to work on it maybe a few hours a week, but I'm gonna try to make those hours quality ones! We are going to have a wet sanding party soon if anyone wants to join in because I know how everyone just loves sanding 😛!!!!Thank you sir, now get get cracking! We wanna see this car come together. Hahaha
Ha, a little bit anyways. Probably gonna take a good day or two to prep for final paint, that's if my brother n law and a couple others help. It would be nice to see it sprayed by the end of the month, fingers crossed!!!!If you were closer, I'd come to the "block" party, there gotta be less to sand on you car than a wagon.
Scott,Thanks Jack, it's been a long time coming!
Ding ding ding!!!!! I intentionally took that pic and posted it to see if anyone would comment on it. Yes Jack, it's a '48 Austin. It's one of my painter's cars. He just got it drivable the other day. It's a pretty cool car. Has a Mustang II suspension, boxed chassis, 305 or 350 sbc with a th350. It's still rough around the edges, but unique!
Here's another pic of it....View attachment 74892
No problem Jack, that Austin chugs a little tune too.Scott,
Thanks for posting another pic of the Austin. What a cool street machine. I remember sitting in an old Austin sedan when I was a young lad. I thought it was a cool car then.
It would also make a cool nostalgia drag car....but I'd keep it as a street rod.
It kind of reminds me a little of an Anglia, or Ford Prefect...both English Fords.
Thanks for indulging me.
I'm glad to see that your Cutlass is getting much needed attention and finishing touches.
I hope it meets all your expectations, buddy. Somehow I think it will...and the final results will blow you away.No problem Jack, that Austin chugs a little tune too.
On the Cutlass front, I'm anxious to see how it looks once painted and with all the black trim and accents installed! If it turns out anywhere close to the vision I've had in my head for years, it should look pretty mean!
