I got bored this evening and decided to scrub a dub dub some junkyard interior parts for the Cutlass. Turns out the dish drying rack works GREAT

if you get in a bind with adjusting those windows and need help like i always do you're more than welcome to my manual.it was a good reference for me. i had my doors apart for years helped out quite a bit.

I've been hanging around the house today watching college BB, then remembered I had parts to paint! These little metal C pieces go on the rear bumper cover, but since my new trim is black I needed to make them match.
Soooo, I did a quick scuff job, shot them with some self etch, then had to get creative. The trim is more of a semi gloss, but all I had on hand was gloss and satin. I ended up spraying two coats of gloss, then one light coat of satin which worked out perfect! The pic was when the paint was still wet, bt now that it's dried some I'm happy with the results.
That's it for now guys, working in the car this weekend is a bust due to some ill people... I don't want to catch the yuck!

For the sanity of my OCD, I brought the trim and a metal clip outside to see if I got the shade of black right. Needless to say, I think I nailed it and my OCD can rest for now .

I've been doing some hunting for a 4L80E lately, but kept missing decent units. That is until today!!! I came across an ebay auction over the weekend, and turned out a place 15 minutes had several to choose from.
Sooo, I got off work early today and took a detour home. The Mazda hauler is at it again, and this is a 2000 4L80E wrapped up in the trunk lol! The fluid looks great, but I will have it gone through and add the transgo shift kit to make it ready! I hopefully will get some parts coming soon.

Will do Mike! They definitely know their stuff with 4L80's. From my research the transgo HD2 kit is a good product. I also found this spreadsheet that has some great info

Ha! I believe Jakes includes their recalibration kit in their standard "Level II" rebuild kit... just sayin'...
