I feel your pain. I just installed metro seals in my 81 malibu and they fit like crap. I have the same issue with the doors closing. The roof rail seals are junk, compared to the soft seal ones i have in my 79 malibu. Much better fit imo.

Mike, I did a poll on here a couple years back on which brand to get since I had zero experience. More people recommended Metro, but yep they suck! I will be changing them out down the road, I'm just glad I only used a tiny bit of sealant on the door seals.

Wow, it's been awhile since posting on the Cutty!!!! No progress was made on the car since last time due to a hectic work schedule and family time. However, this morning I went out and got the ole girl ready for transport home! It was in the way, so I planned on calling AAA to tow it until my brother n laws buddy pulled up with a car trailer. Anyhoo, here are a few pics. It will have to sit here until I figure out a better canopy setup(the other one got a bit mangled up a couple weeks back!).

Lol Eric!!!! I wish it was closer to done, still a long way off! I just threw the seats and console in to open up some space in Brian's garage. I haven't done anything since the door seals other than the grilles.

Thanks man. To be honest I've really cared less to even look at the damn car lately! I've hit soooo many walls trying to get it assembled! However, it's somewhat of a mental booster to look out the window and see it sitting here (doing that right now tbh lol). Once I get the carport/canopy thingamajig setup I can move the car to the concrete pad and get some stuff done.

glad you got the car home, I know how much of a pain it is having it miles away( the Chief and Regal stay 25 miles away, and the Cutty lives at a buddy's 35 miles the opposite direction). with it being at home, you won't have all that travel time, and sacrificing things around the house, family time, etc..., GET 'ER DONE!

car is looking great so far, and still love the color scheme!
