It fit like GM should have made it that way, even the turbo location was dead on and no issues putting on stock hoses and the wiring swapped over with little to no issue, only 1 hole to cut for a pass through
You best beef that 200r4 up if you go that route. Stock a 455 will rip up a stock 200r4.I have an 83 Regal with a 455. Yes 455 meaning Buick out of a 73 Riv with a 400 bolted up to it, but may change it for the 200r4 OD
FItech might be useful if your intake is 4 Barrell. You cold probably run boost straight into this thing. 4 barrel intake from a 4.1 might flow better than a blow-thru.This is my oddball engine in the making. A 2000 3800 series two with 96 comaro rear wheel drive parts. I am invested in the idea, but still kind of a pipe dream I guess. The car has probably one of the oddest engines available in a 80 g body all ready. A 3.8 Buick draw through turbo engine. Problem is it lacks in the performance part.View attachment 58869 View attachment 58870
Of course my other non G body swap is project nightmare, the 3.9 Magnum V6 to a 5.9 Magnum V8 , the easiest swap in the world, yah right, hence the name project nightmare.I still miss the Olds 350 running the stock sbc TBI in my burned to the ground 94 Chevy 4x4. The Northstar and the little 3.4 Taurus SHO V8's were something different but both had issues. To bad Cadillac's new V-8 was scrapped, probably would have been killer. Compare the Ford 5.0 to the new 5.3, sorry the DOHC platform just makes more power. As far as G bodies, I keep mine SBO powered and mine will be powered by a 403 stroker eventually.
Look up back issues of hot rod magazine.....there was a n* swapped 84 in an issue 2000ishHow about a G-body with a ~2002 vintage Northstar V8 installed? I haven't seen this but wonder if it has been done?
That looks like a series 3 3800 with a series 2 fwd upper intake in the picThis is my oddball engine in the making. A 2000 3800 series two with 96 comaro rear wheel drive parts. That engine is out of a 2000 buick with 20000 miles on it. Series two and series three are almost the same and everything interchanges. Series one is its own. That looks like a series 3 3800 with a series 2 fwd upper intake in the pic
