Looks good and sounds good! I was thinking about turbo, but I change my mind. Adding a turbo looks too hard for me!
As long as you have a welder, it is just time consuming. I was surprised at how much the pipes cost tho! If I would have used just mild steel instead of aluminized it would have been cheaper.

My life right now

Looks good, sounds good. It is idling nice with no surge. Was it in closed loop? do you have a wide band? Also, have you though about running the EBL flash?

Liquidh8, I'm not sure. I think it was in open loop at the time of the video. I was just excited that I was able to get my afr down to a normal level. Yes, I do have a Innovate LC2 wideband. When I first started it with the 33lb injector tune, the afr was about 18:1. Then I started adjusting a table with no response by the ecm. :wtf: I didn't realize that you had to click the commit to save button within the table first, then the send button to the emulator. I was just sending it to the emulator without committing to the change. 😳 I kept adjusting and adjusting, then when I noticed the save button within the table, I finally hit the save icon and the afr went to like 24:1 then cut off. That's when I found out that you have to hit the save icon first, then send to the emulator. Once I got that down, I was good to go and started over.

I was trying to go the cheapest route available, and since I already had an ecm that could recognize boost(with the right tune), I figured I would go that route and save some money. The ostrich, cable, burn2, and chips came to about $350 shipped. And I am able to buy the equipment in 2 parts, 1 for emulating, and 1 down the road when I get the tune right for burning. Truthfully, I had not even known about that route until now(just did a google search). In my searches I kept coming across some real expensive alternatives and they just were not feasible for me. The EBL flash doesn't seem that bad in price tho, looks to be about $500 without a proper ecm, less if you have a supported ecm.

Very, very nice! I don't know anything about tuning fuel injected cars, but I think it's pretty neat. So are we gonna get any dyno numbers soon? 8) I'm interested to see what it makes, and how streetable it is. Any reports on what the power feels like?

That sux you were doing all that before you realized it. 🙁 Having the wide band is paramount to getting a good tune! It is just a pain in the *ss to datalog it with an rpm and baro reference.

The EBL can be had for a bit cheaper, I have seen them used getting sold. You did like I did, start with chip burning and emulation, then I went to the EBL for the superior code.

Thanks, and that makes 2 of us. Once I work on the tune a little bit more and get comfortable with pushing it into boost I will let you know how it feels. I just got my 42lb injectors from Greg at http://www.blowerworks.net, so I have to install them and download the appropriate tune. Gotta work this weekend and they're talking about rain, so don't see any "street tuning" in the near future, maybe next week when the weather's better. Hopefully after that I can report on the in-the-seat feel, then off to Capital Raceway in Crofton, Md 😀

I knew there was going to be a learning curve. I'm just glad I didn't damage anything while learning. And yeah, the wb o2 is a must with tuning. It gives you peace of mind that you ain't about to blow up what you have spent so much time and money on.
