I used Rocket Racing rubber with steel core valve cover gaskets this last time, a nice gasket.

Did you have to use anything on those gaskets or did you put them on dry?

I used them dry. I had them on and off multiple times due to a lifter tick.

I used the Fe;pro steel core on mine.

I have a tiny leak on the drivers side by the firewall.

I put them on dry . I will try some permatex first.

What is the part number for the Felpro steel core? Are they rubber?

I would also like the part number if someone has it. Having a hard time finding the right gasket with steel core.
The ones I seen online are rubber coated. But all of them say doesn't fit my vehicle....

I bought them from Advance but I do not see them on the site anymore.

I still have the box at home I will get the number after work

Thanks, I Will modify them. Sorry for asking questions and dumb ones too. I have a tendency to over think stuff and that seems to make it more difficult. I also sent an email to the company that offers those gasket. I will get them as soon as I know for sure they will work on my 403

Always ask questions, regardless of how dumb you think they might be. If it keep you from spending more money, spending money unnecessarily, or keeps you from doing something twice, its well worth it.
